The cover art for Wildflowers by American Idol Season 10 runner up Lauren Alaina has been revealed. The album is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2011.
After seeing the decent job that was done for Scotty McCreery's album a couple of weeks ago, I am more then disappointed with this mess that is going to be used for Alaina's debut album. The Photoshop feathering around her hair is amateur at best. There is also an ugly dark splotch by her head that doesn't make sense. Then, there are several ugly clip art daisies scattered around.
The photograph of the young singer is less than flattering. It could be more appropriate for the cover of a single. It looks as if they took a publicity photo, quickly erased the background in Photoshop, and then found some inexpensive clip art to go with the album's title. This is a bland, cheap-looking album cover.
