Singer/songwriter Josie Cotton is one of many artists who have the distinction of being labeled one of the Top 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders Of The 80s by VH1. Her 1982 single Johnny are You Queer? is listed as #81.
Contrary to her status as a one hit wonder, Cotton has recorded six studio albums and her singles He Could Be the One and Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne have made the charts, just not the Billboard Top 40.
Cotton's most recent album is Pussycat Babylon. It was released late last year and a music video for the song See the New Hong Kong was posted on YouTube in February. The cover art for the album features a youthful photograph of Cotton wearing an illustration of an Asian headress and long, black fingernails.
