According to our weekly AlbumArtExchange Blog poll, the best album cover for the week of March 22, 2011 is Angles by The Strokes. The cover received 48% of the vote. Dust Bowl by Joe Bonamassa was second with 35% and Jennifer Hudson's I Remember Me was a distant third with just 9%.
The winning cover features a painting by the late Belgian artist Guy Pouppez, who died in 1993. The subject of the painting is the Penrose stairs, which is also called the impossible staircase. I wrote about the Penrose stairs in a previous article about this album cover.
As usual, I will post the poll featuring the album covers that were preselected from this week's new music releases this evening. This week's covers include Britney Spears, Radiohead, Whitesnake and a couple of surprises.
