The film Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts opened in theaters today. The soundtrack features songs by Neil Young, Marvin Gaye and the new single Better Days by Eddie Vedder.
The album and single are available on iTunes. It looks as if the CD can be purchased on Amazon.com as a pricey import or from several third-party sellers. I'm not sure what's up with that.
The cover art for the album is the image that has been used for the jacket of the Elizabeth Gilbert memoir on which the film is based. I wonder why they didn't use a photo of Julia Roberts. Perhaps her price was too high.
The song from the movie's trailer is Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine (above right). It is not included on the soundtrack album. The single can be purchased online through most retailers.
